Soil Seed Bank Study and Propagation Methods of Selected Gums and Resin Producing Tree Species in Wachile District of Borana Zone

Gum and resin bearing tree species were one of the very important resources in Ethiopia. Particularly, Borana pastoralists used these as a source income generation for their livelihoods. However, resource was declining over time due to different natural human made problems. Therefore, it is study its future sustainability through soil seed bank, germinations, vegetative propagations analyzing regeneration status. Commiphora myrrha, Boswelia neglecta, Boswellia microphylla and Acacia senegal gum selected this study. With this; bank samples collected from under outside canopy species.
